About The Event

 The Bahati Foundation will host the 2nd annual Bike Giveaway and Wellness Expo held in the historic Leimert Park area. This year the Bahati Foundation has partnered with Beyond ESports to produce its first ever Hackathon featuring student teams from local area high schools:

  • Crenshaw HS, 
  • Dorsey HS, 
  • Charles Drew Magnet HS  
  • Educating Youth Minds HS 
  • Long Beach Poly HS

The Teens Hacking Health Challenge will focus on the use of technology to solve youth health concerns such as teen obesity, and finding solutions for better food choices, eating habits and fitness lifestyles. 

New Mobile App, Game or Social Media Campaign that Cultivate Positive Behavior or Habit Changes:

Categories for the challenge

  • Best Motion Equals Healthy’ Children's Musical Songs and Apps (Hip Hop, Jazz, Blues, etc.)
  • Best Gamified Fitness App or Game
  • Best Gamified Wellness App or Game
  • Best Gamified Teen Health App or Game
  • Best Health, Fitness or Wellness Challenge for Teens to Hack powered by Sponsor's tools and resources
