Ride With Nelson Vails, Olympic Silver Medalist, at the Bahati Foundation Metric Century

The Bahati Foundation and Streets Are for Everyone (SAFE) have partnered to present the Bahati Foundation Metric Century Ride, as part of the 10th Annual Finish The Ride. The foundation purpose is to promote cycling safety and empowering underrepresented youth through cycling.  The event, scheduled for Sunday, June 11, 2023, 6 am – 2 pm at Griffith Park, Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles 90027 map. The Bahati Foundation Metric Century is led by Nelson Vails, Olympic Silver Medalist 1984 Games. The goal of the event is to raise $10,000, which will be used to support both the SAFE advocacy for cycling safety education programs and the Bahati Foundation Student Cycling Clubs outreach.

"We are excited to partner with SAFE and support their mission to make our streets safer for cyclists and pedestrians," said Rahsaan Bahati, founder of the Bahati Foundation. "We also believe that cycling is a healthy and eco-friendly mode of transportation that can empower underrepresented youth. Our student cycling clubs outreach provides students with bikes, helmets, locks, and reflective gear to ensure they have a safe cycling experience."
