Woom and the Bahati Foundation Join Forces
At the Bahati Foundation, we say time and again that every child deserves the chance to feel the freedom of riding a bike. That belief drives everything we do at the Bahati Foundation, and thanks to a new partnership with Woom Bikes, we’re bringing more young people closer to that feeling.
Woom builds lightweight bikes designed specifically for children, so young riders can learn with confidence and enjoy every minute. Together, we want to make cycling more accessible, inclusive, and fun for kids and their families, especially those in underrepresented communities who too often don’t have a bike or a place to ride.
“Our work is about more than putting kids on bikes. It’s about creating pathways for young people to learn, grow, stay active, and discover new possibilities. We see Woom as a valuable potential partner to expand those opportunities through our school site B Smart Student Cycle Clubs and other outreach youth cycling programs.”
The partnership will be highlighted at the 9th Annual Motion Equals Healthy: Bahati Bike Fest on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at Sports Basement Long Beach. We expect 200 to 350 community members for a celebration of cycling, health, wellness, and youth development.
Through this partnership, kids and families will discover cycling through:
Hands-on product experiences and beginner-friendly riding activities
Bike education that builds skills and confidence
Ongoing pathways into our B Smart Student Cycle Clubs, community bike clinics, and Bahati Unpaved youth cycling experiences
A child’s first ride at Bike Fest can become a school cycling club, a community clinic, and eventually a whole new set of adventures.
We know cycling improves youth health, opens doors to educational opportunities, and connects young people to their communities. A partnership with a brand like Woom lets us do more of that work, and your generosity helps carry it forward long after the event ends.
We’re grateful to have you in our corner, and we can’t wait to ride together this December.
