BAHATI FOUNDATION LAUNCHES STUDENT CYCLING CLUB TO STIMULATE BIKE SAFETY, HEALTHY LIFE STYLE AND EDUCATION
Students at Verbum Dei High Students to participate in progressive school-site Bahati Foundation Student Cycling Club (BFSCC)
LOS ANGELES (September 20, 2016) – The Bahati Foundation, through its “Adopt-a-School, GiveBACK Program,” has partnered with Verbum Dei High School, Jesuit Work Study College Prep in Los Angeles. The initial goal of the Bahati Foundation Student Cycling Club is to introduce students to the sport of cycling as an alternative to traditional sports activities while promoting bike safety, health and fitness.
The Bahati Foundation provides various outreach programs that support inner-city youths through educational, health and fitness initiatives in the Los Angeles area. The Student Cycling Clubs will provide safety instruction, healthy eating habits, and educational support to all student club members. “With all the budget cuts we have faced, in our public schools over the last few years, I am so proud that we are providing access to cycling support these talent young people, said Rahsaan Bahati, Founder and President, Bahati Foundation. “I was part of the band when I attended Crenshaw over ten years ago; I know personally, how important it is to have a music program and more importantly how much it means to have new instruments that you can use to performing your best.”
