Bahati Foundation Launches The B/Smart Cycle Summer Session

The Bahati Foundation is proud to announce that, in conjunction with GEAR UP California State University Dominguez Hills, and Velo Sports Center, we will offer summer training sessions for six weeks starting June 22 through July 28, 2022.

The B/Smart Cycle program's mission is to provide inner-city students access to professional coaching, world-class track facilities, track bikes, and training in the Olympic-level sport of Velodrome cycling.

We know that the U.S. can produce world-class cyclists and we are seeking to identify them early on, with your assistance and support, we can become a conduit for their development.
— Rahsaan Bahati

Participating students will receive instruction through several training sessions for Velodrome cycling during the initial summer training sessions.

Goal 1: To provide students with rules and safety instructions for the track cycling
Goal 2: To provide access to equipment and coaching
Goal 3: To improve students with the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle
Goal 4: To provide each participating student certification for the track

Our outreach goals are to close three major health gaps that affect inner-city youth. These three health gaps are: Financial Health/Literacy and Mental Health/Wellness
