Ride With Rahsaan in Tucson

For the 39th edition of the El Tour de Tucson, the Bahati Foundation has become one of the beneficiaries. What does this mean?

We’ve launched a fundraiser with a goal to raise $50,000. The funds raised from Ride with Rahsaan at El Tour de Tucson will benefit and support the outreach of B/Smart Cycle's next phase for students.

B/Smart Cycle (a component of Adopt-A-School outreach), provides access for inner-city students to the sport of cycling and, more specifically, introduces youth to the Olympic-level sport of Velodrome cycling. Which launched in the summer of ‘22; the six-week program provided over 25 elementary, mid, and high school students, with access to professional coaching, and bikes at the VELO Sports Center, California State University Dominguez Hills Carson.

In addition, to providing access to cycling B/Smart Cycle addresses the social justice issue of ‘Play Equity’, which is higher in underserved communities. ‘Play Equity’ focuses on bringing access to sport and play for all children, regardless of their race, gender, zip code, or socioeconomic status.

We have some really cool gifts from CUORE of Switzerland, MiiR, GIANT, and others as a small token of appreciation.
